Conflict in the classroom comes in many forms.

Students want to do well and are afraid of failure while teachers worry about maintaining control and being effective.

Most teachers aren’t prepared for the conflict that results from these concerns because they are so focused on lesson planning they don’t take time to consider the skills it takes to develop a healthy classroom environment – that is one that prevents conflict from happening and has ways to address conflict when it does occur.

Today’s guest, Colin Hahn, PhD., had been an educator for 10 years and now focuses on curriculum development and education strategies for adult learners.

He shares how teachers can better manage conflict in the classroom and create an effective learning environment.
